About Us
The Jindia Foundation is a non-profit organization formed by Non Resident Indians from their hometown, Nabha, India. The foundation was established in 2000.
Dr. Jaswant Jindia, pointed out
that we have come to foreign countries and have seen the prosperity here. Now
the real challenge before us is to help create the same prosperity in India so
that our children will want to go back and settle in India. We also cannot and
should not neglect our responsibility towards our adopted countries.

Charity given to the wrong person, where it is likely to be misused is not good. Charity given to an organization where their costs are excessive is also a waste of resources. Fortunately the Federal Government allows the formation of private foundations, however small.
This is the reason we started the Jindia Foundation, because we can use our charity funds for worthwhile causes both in USA and in India, and with very little overhead cost, if any. In the Jindia Foundation we want to give scholarships both in the United States of America and in India to needy and deserving students, either in High school or in College.
Goals of the Foundation
Give scholarships to needy and deserving students in the USA and India, to pursue college education.
Promotion of cultural and social activities between the United States of America and India. This may include inviting scholars to lecture on various topics of interest.
Conducting relief work in the USA and in India in response to natural disasters.
