Jindia Foundation (India) was established in India in Nabha (Punjab) in January 2001. In February 2005 it was registered under the Societies Registration Act.

Jindia Foundation is operated exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes. The specific objectives of the foundation are:

To promote education by starting or helping an educational institution.
To give scholarships to the needy and deserving students.
To support humanitarian causes.
To promote inter-religious, social and cultural understanding.
To provide for spiritual, cultural and educational activities. 

Activities and achievements of Jindia Foundation

Mr Ramesh Kumar Jindia, the President of the foundation since its inception, has been doing an excellent job. Following activities are worth noting:

1.      Giving scholarships and winter clothing, sweaters etc, to poor and deserving students every year, since 2001. Ramesh arranges this donation through the Rotary Club Nabha, which helps identify deserving students.

2.      Donated a house to the Tsunami victims in Tamil Nadu, through the Rotary Club   Nabha, in July 2006. Ramesh visited the area, met the people and donated the money for one house. He went to Nagapatinam on 18 July 2006 and got the information about the Area. He visited the area from where the Tsunami Tides arose and met the Tsunami sufferers. Rotary Club had Constructed 75 Houses for them, One of which we had donated. The cost of the house was Rs 1.6 Lac. Ramesh handed over its Draft to Rtn. Kethar Nathan (PDG-2890) with his other concerned Rotary Members. These Houses were handed over by Rotary International President to local Government and Tsunami victim families in August 2006.

3.      Through Jindia Foundation USA one Ekal Vidyalaya school has been sponsored by the foundation since 2006. The school supported by the foundation is located in the tribal area of Madhya Pradesh, in village Bheempura. district Bhind. Nearest railway station is Gwalior, and the village is nearly 90 km from Gwalior. Village population is 1900 with literacy rate of 15%. The school has 28 students and teacher is Charan Singh. 4.  Jindia Foundation director Mr Sham Lal Jindia has been working with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Panchkula.. Through Bharat Vikas Parishad our foundation has been funding scholarships to needy and deserving students in Panchkula, since 2004.

Winter sweaters were distributed to the poor and needy children. This distribution was made through the Rotary club of Nabha, India.
